Ty Bracey shares Aston Villa transfer prediction after Everton and Nottingham Forest news
We’re delighted to welcome Aston Villa podcaster Ty Bracey as our exclusive Aston Villa columnist each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at the club…
Ty Bracey doesn’t believe the charges aimed at Everton and Nottingham Forest will have any impact on the transfer dealings at Aston Villa.
It was revealed on Monday (15 January) that both of Villa’s Premier League rivals have been referred to an independent commission for alleged breaches of profit and sustainability rules in their accounts for 2022-23 [BBC Sport].
If those clubs are found to be in breach of those rules, they could be at risk of being handed a fine or be docked points, with the Toffees already receiving a 10-point deduction for a previous charge in November last year – a ruling they have appealed against.

Bracey has praised the Villans for ensuring the club doesn’t end up in any FFP trouble, highlighting the sales of academy products Cameron Archer to Sheffield United and Aaron Ramsey to Burnley as “very smart business”.
When asked if the charges against the two clubs will impact any potential transfer activity at Villa Park, speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “No, not really. We strongly stick to the rules and there are a lot of clubs who do.
“But some test the boundaries and push it as much as they can, we’re just not one of those clubs.
“We do everything by the book and we’re not one of those clubs where deductions are going to come our way, I’m quite confident of that. Stick to what we’re doing and I’m more than happy.

“We’ve conducted very smart business. You only have to look at the Cameron Archer and Aaron Ramsey deals, great bits of business and we have the option to get them back if we want them.
“But again, great for FFP and us sticking to those rules, it’s just us doing the right business to stick to the guidelines.”
