Doctor issues injury update on Aston Villa attacker Bertrand Traore
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Aston Villa.
Aston Villa attacker Bertrand Traore appears to be out with a mystery injury and is not even playing on international duty, per Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert says that he could’ve faced a setback in his recovery with him not responding to the increased intensity of training.
The Burkina Faso international is away on AFCON duty and has not featured in the friendlies against DR Congo and Iran.

Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News: “Difficult to say whether it’s concerning or not because there’s just no information on it.
“The setback could be that he didn’t respond as anticipated when ramping up.
“He’s on international duty and hasn’t played either so it remains to be seen what the exact issue is.“

The 28-year-old has played just 10 Premier League minutes all season as he’s battled multiple injury worries.
He has made three appearances in the Conference League and all of those have been off the bench.
His last senior game for Villa was back in November when he came on in the dying stages of the 2-1 victory over AZ Alkmaar.
In other Aston Villa news, a Sky Sports pundit has savaged a first-team player and called him “Foolish” after what he did recently.
