Chelsea and Manchester United shut down as Unai Emery exit questioned – Ex-Aston Villa Scout
Villa News is delighted to welcome aboard our brilliant new columnist Bryan King, the former goalkeeper who spent over 10 years as a scout at Aston Villa and 28 years in total in first-team scouting roles. Bryan also spent six years on Tottenham’s recruitment team and eight years scouting at Everton…
Bryan King has insisted that Unai Emery is an “honourable” man when questioned if he could be tempted to leave Aston Villa after his early success.
The ex-Aston Villa Scout admitted that it all depends on the Spaniard’s contract, with Chelsea and Manchester United two potential destinations shut down instantly.
Emery has been sensational since arriving at Villa Park, with only Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City taking more points in his first year back in England.

“It all depends on what his contract is,” he exclusively told Villa News.
“He’s a pretty honourable man, Emery, he’s another one of these over-exuberant managers.
“The running around on the touchline, is it really necessary? Arteta, is it necessary? It’s going to be interesting, of course, I think the main reason why he struggled at Arsenal was that he was very poor at English, and Arsenal were in a period of transition and I don’t think he was given the amount of time he should have been given.

“He has certainly brought a new light into Aston Villa. No, I don’t think he would be suited to them for some reason [Chelsea and Manchester United].
“The Aston Villa people are letting him get on with the job, I couldn’t see the Chelsea bloke, and I certainly couldn’t see the Manchester United bloke because all of a sudden, he’s got full control of transfers.”
