Broadcaster shares ‘weird feeling’ for Aston Villa fans ahead of clash v Sheffield United
We’re delighted to welcome Aston Villa podcaster Ty Bracey as our exclusive Aston Villa columnist each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at the club…
It will be a “weird feeling” for the Aston Villa fans if the club go top of the Premier League following the game against Sheffield United on Friday (22 December), according to Ty Bracey.
Villa will leapfrog both the league leaders Arsenal and second-placed Liverpool if they can record a victory over the Blades, who sit bottom of the table.
The Gunners make the trip to Anfield to face the Reds on Saturday (23 December), where a draw would ensure the Villans are top of the league at Christmas if they can seal a win against the South Yorkshire club at Villa Park.

Bracey has faith that Unai Emery’s side will come out on top despite the Spaniard being without some key players ahead of the clash.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “Arsenal against Liverpool tomorrow, so it potentially won’t last long. But if it finishes as a draw, we’re still top of the table.
“It will be a very weird feeling, especially if Arsenal and Liverpool draw, which I can most definitely see happening. I think that fixture screams 1-1 tomorrow.
“If we can go into the Christmas break top of the Premier League, that will be a nice Christmas present for all of us Villa fans.

“But Sheffield United, the only team who haven’t won away this season and we’re on a 15-game winning streak.
“Obviously, we’re without a few key players, but I’d like to think we can still get the job done under Unai, so I have faith that we will be top of the league by tonight.”
