BBC Sport pundit slams Boubacar Kamara for actions in Aston Villa win vs Brentford
We’re delighted to welcome former Aston Villa full-back Alan Hutton as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Villa Park…
Aston Villa midfielder Boubacar Kamara can have no complaints about his sending off in the 2-1 win over Brentford, according to Alan Hutton.
Kamara was dismissed in stoppage time at the Gtech Community Stadium on Sunday (17 December) for pushing the face of Yehor Yarmoliuk.
Both teams are facing Football Association action for failing to control their players in a feisty contest that also saw Ben Mee sent off for Brentford.

France international Kamara will now serve a ban, which Hutton believes could be a problem for Villa due to the midfielder’s influence this season.
“He raised his hands and you can’t do that,” Hutton told Villa News. “It’s as simple as that for me.
“There’s a bit of back-and-forth, some pushing and shoving, which you can get away with normally.
“But as soon as you raise your hand, which is what it looked like to me, you’re always running the risk of getting sent off.

“It wasn’t great, and it wasn’t ideal for Kamara because I think he’s a massive part of what Aston Villa do. He’s going to be missed.”
Kamara, who has started 16 of Villa’s 17 matches this season, will now sit out games with Sheffield United, Manchester United and Burnley.
Villa’s win at Brentford – their third victory in a row in the top flight – leaves them third in the Premier League ahead of Friday’s (22 December) home match with the Blades.
In other Aston Villa news, a fringe player could be given a chance to impress in the absence of Kamara.
