Broadcaster shares how £6.7bn Premier League development could impact Aston Villa fans
We’re delighted to welcome Aston Villa podcaster Ty Bracey as our exclusive Aston Villa columnist each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at the club…
Ty Bracey believes every Premier League game should be shown on television following the announcement of a new TV deal.
The Premier League revealed in a statement on its website on 4 December that it has agreed a new deal with Sky Sports and TNT Sports that will see the competition receive £6.7billion over four years for its UK television rights.
For the first time, all matches outside of Saturday 3pm kick-offs will be broadcast live across the country, while there will also be more midweek matchdays where games are shown simultaneously and fans can choose which to watch.

Bracey believes it’s a “big deal” for the games to be shown on TV for the fans who aren’t always able to make it to the stadium on the day.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “I think that every game should be shown, I really do.
“You would obviously rather be at the ground of course, but it’s one of those things, where I’m happy either way.

“I’d rather go to the games but having the games readily available to the fans that can’t make it is also a big deal.
“I definitely think it’s a step in the right direction.”
