Doctor issues injury news on Aston Villa attacking midfielder Omari Kellyman
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Aston Villa...
Aston Villa attacking midfielder Omari Kellyman could be ruled out for as long as three months in the worst case scenario, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that if he requires surgery, it could be a lengthy setback for the 18-year-old.
The Athletic reported on 13 November that he could be out for 10 weeks with a hamstring injury.

Speaking about his injury, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News: “This sounds like a Grade 2 or 3 out of 4 hamstring injury which would align with the timeline.
“The worst case scenario would be if he suffers a setback that requires surgery and then he’s looking at over three months out.
“If everything is on course, he should be looking at a return in late January or early February.“
The Englishman moved to Villa’s academy from Derby County in 2022 and spent a year honing his skills before his first-team break.

Earlier this season, the teenager made his senior debut for Unai Emery’s side in a UEFA Europa Conference League match against Hibs in August.
Kellyman came off the bench and took little time to familiarise himself with the Villa fans as he provided an assist for Leon Bailey’s goal.
At the end of October, he even put pen to paper to a new long-term deal at Villa Park.
In other Aston Villa news, Ian Wright has waxed lyrical over a first-team player and has dubbed him “fantastic” after what he did recently.
