Broadcaster reacts to ‘scary’ Richard Keys claim about Aston Villa

We’re delighted to welcome Aston Villa podcaster Ty Bracey as our exclusive Aston Villa columnist each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at the club…

Aston Villa need to take it each game at a time despite what Richard Keys said about their Premier League title credentials, according to Ty Bracey.

Writing on his website on Monday (4 December), the beIN SPORTS presenter claimed Villa are currently “in the mix” as title contenders this season.

He doesn’t see why they can’t win it if they beat Manchester City on Wednesday (6 December) at Villa Park, where they have won their last 13 league games and are looking to make it 14 to equal a 92-year club record.

Bracey admitted, though, that any talk of a potential league title is a “little bit scary” as he believes that’s when the pressure starts to ramp up.

Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “I think we just need to take it each game at a time.

“The second you start putting chance for a league title talk out there, things get a little bit scary and that’s where pressure gets applied.

“We just need to play each game like it’s a final, I really do think that. But the most important thing is to take it each game at a time and go from there really and I think we’ll be fine.

“We need to keep our heads down and get on with it.”

In other Aston Villa news, a broadcaster has called a controversial incident against Bournemouth an “absolute shambles”.
