Leander Dendoncker to exit Aston Villa amid links to Roma midfielder Bryan Cristante
We’re delighted to welcome Aston Villa podcaster Ty Bracey as our exclusive Aston Villa columnist each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at the club…
Ty Bracey has mooted an Aston Villa exit for Leander Dendoncker amid the recent links to Roma midfielder Bryan Cristante.
Italian news outlet TV Play reported on 19 November that Villa, Tottenham and West Ham are all interested in the 28-year-old, who could leave the Serie A side in January if an offer of more than £26million (€30m) is made to sign him.
The 38-cap Italy international was signed by the Villans sporting director Monchi while he was at Roma in 2018, potentially handing the club an advantage if any negotiations were to take place with his former side and the player.

Bracey doesn’t believe another defensive midfielder would arrive at Villa Park unless the 28-year-old Dendoncker moves on, suggesting that the Belgian international could be “looking for an exit” out of the club.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “I don’t see any problem at all with depth. But that would probably be on the back of players like Dendoncker heading out, that wouldn’t surprise me either.
“I can’t imagine we get another defensive midfielder in without another one leaving, so that would probably say to me that Dendoncker’s looking for an exit.

“If we can strengthen an area and get one off the books, I have absolutely no qualms with that at all. I think every position should be competitive in the club.
“I don’t think anybody should be guaranteed a start and I think that side is important as well. If we’re adding more competition to those positions, I have absolutely no problems with it whatsoever.”
