Aston Villa told to ‘100%’ sign Ferran Torres amid latest Barcelona exit speculation

Ty Bracey has claimed Aston Villa fans must have “faith” in Unai Emery’s transfer targets this summer due to his impeccable Villa Park record amid links with Barcelona forward Ferran Torres.
Torres, 23, is reportedly on Aston Villa’s wishlist this summer [El Nacional] as Emery looks to add depth to the dwindling winger position. Meanwhile, Barcelona manager Xavi does not see the ex-Manchester City ace in his plans next season [Daily Mail].
Since Emery became a Villan in October last year, Villa Park has seen a complete reversal of fortune by resisting a relegation scrap and playing themselves into a Europa Conference League position this season, which has been strongly credited to Emery’s influence.
Bracey has claimed that Villa fans should trust Emery to identify talent for the club considering his exceptional work up until this point.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “I have faith in whoever Emery wants to get in. He knows what attributes he’s looking for in a winger, which obviously we don’t know, that’s an internal conversation.
“We have to have faith in the signings that he brings. He brought in Alex Moreno which was a big shout really considering we had not long signed Lucas Digne.
“Digne is our highest earner and Moreno played for the rest of the season under Emery, so he took that risk and knows what he wants from a player.
“I’m fully behind him if Ferran Torres is on his radar but from what I’m being told, Torres isn’t massively interested in a move to Villa.
“I would 100% have him on board if he is interested. It’s one of those things: wanting a player is one thing, then the price, and then personal terms are all part of the equation.”
