Aston Villa ‘not scared’ by £51m Federico Chiesa development at Juventus
Aston Villa haven’t been put off by the hefty price tag Juventus have placed on Federico Chiesa this summer, according to CalcioMercato.
The Italian news outlet claims the £51.4million fee the Italian giants are demanding “does not scare” the Villans and neither does the midfielder’s wage demands as they look to persuade him into joining Unai Emery’s “ambitious” project.
CalcioMercato said there is no chance of Juve offering Chiesa, who earns £4.71million a year, an extension at the moment at the time, with his agent Fali Ramadani’s actions leading to Villa’s interest.

Notable
If Aston Villa can bring in a player of Chiesa’s undoubted quality this summer, that would be a sensational piece of business to help the club keep pushing forward.
While it may sound like a rather hefty fee, it probably falls below the average price for a player of his pedigree. He has won numerous trophies with Juventus and played a major role in Italy winning the Euros two years ago.
It’s likely the signing of Pau Torres has helped Villa draw the attention of other big-name players and this could just be the start of a number of stars coming through the door at Villa Park.

There has been concerns expressed around the 25-year-old’s injury problems after a cruciate ligament injury kept him out of action for the majority of last year.
But since returning to action in November, Chiesa has only missed five games for the Turin club to prove that he is well on his way to putting those issues behind him.
In other Aston Villa news, Emery is looking to rival Champions League clubs for the signature of a Bundesliga winger.
