Aston Villa may cash in on Philippe Coutinho amid Saudi interest due to poor fitness record – Injury Expert
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Aston Villa...
Aston Villa may look to cash in on Philippe Coutinho due to his lack of availability for the first team since joining, claims Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert believes that he has not been healthy for the past few years, since he left Liverpool for a big-money move to Barcelona.
His career appears to have declined since that move to the Camp Nou and he failed to rekindle that spark at Villa Park.

Speaking about his extended absence, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News, “Availability is the best ability so it would not surprise me if Aston Villa does decide to cash out given the number of setbacks.
“Dynamic player when in form and healthy but that hasn’t occurred for him much in recent years, some might argue that it hasn’t occurred since his Liverpool transfer.”
Alan Hutton stated in June that the Brazilian could follow a number of star players to Saudi Arabia this summer.
The clubs in that league are signing big-name players for big wages and he believes that the former Liverpool and Barcelona ace could be heading there as well.

Last season, the 31-year-old just made seven Premier League starts and most of his appearances came off the bench for Unai Emery’s side.
It remains to be seen if his injuries and potentially big money from Saudi leads to Villa cashing in on him.
In other Aston Villa news, a first-team ace has emerged as the “Master of the Dark Arts” for Unai Emery and has become the club’s most underrated player.
