Ty Bracey would like to see Aston Villa sign Eden Hazard, not getting overexcited
We’re delighted to welcome Villa View host Ty Bracey as our exclusive Aston Villa columnist each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at the club…
Eden Hazard would be a risky and expensive signing for Aston Villa but one that would be good if it happened, according to Ty Bracey.
There have been growing suggestions in Spain that Villa Park could be a destination for the unfortunate Belgian attacker to return to the Premier League, having seen his big-money move from Chelsea to Real Madrid flop after a succession of injuries.
And Bracey would back the move if it was possible, but believes it is early days and doesn’t want to get ahead of himself because it still would be a tricky one to pull off.

“It’s one of those things, it could go either way,” he exclusively told Villa News.
“He’s a very experienced player and it’s going to come a risk and big wages.
“But, would I be open to the idea? Yes. The money isn’t coming out of my pocket.
“It would be a good signing if he’s a player who can get form, but at this point it’s just rumour.
“I try not to romanticise on rumours because I always end up getting my heart broken, so I steer clear of them as much as possible.
“A lot of form comes down to confidence, and we know that Eden Hazard on his day is a great talent, and a great addition to any team if he was in form.”

Villa pulled off a similar coup when they brought in Philippe Coutinho, as a former Premier League star who moved to one of La Liga’s giants for a huge fee then saw things fall apart.
But the Brazilian star has flattered to deceive in his time at the club, so even if the Belgian were to become available the Villans would need to be sure that he can rediscover the version of himself that was a fixture at Stamford Bridge, rather than the injury hit one from the Bernabeu.
If he could stay fit he would be another sign of the ambition of the Villans, potentially in the summer, but there may be more effective and cheaper options available at this point.
