View: Aaron Ramsey banging on Aston Villa first-team door as sensational form continues

Before Aston Villa have even played on Sunday (6 November) it has already been a very successful weekend for one Villa Park loanee.

Aaron Ramsey was the match-winner for Dean Smith’s Norwich City as they edged a tight affair away at Rotherham United by two goals to one.

The 19-year-old is, in fact, in tremendous form for the Canaries – who moved up to fourth in the Championship as a result of their victory against the Millers.

Unai Emery might have only been in the job for a few days at Bodymoor but he will not be disappointed to see the teenager excelling at a level not too far away from the lower reaches of the Premier League.

If a recall option is included in the loan deal then it would be mad not to trigger it when the January transfer window opens and then the Spaniard can get Ramsey into the side and learning his way of management.

He now has three goals for Norwich this season after he scored twice in a 3-1 home win against Stoke City, his first goals for the club, last weekend (29 October).

Three assists further add to his contributions to the Canaries this season after he managed only one of each while at Cheltenham Town in League One last season.

He has clearly made a giant leap forward this season and now has to be considered on the brink of a first-team graduation, whether it be this season or next.

Tim Iroegbunam has been the fancied central midfielder among the Aston Villa youngsters so far but he is not yet bringing the same contributions to Queens Park Rangers in the same division.

In other Aston Villa news, Emery has revealed he does not intend to make a big change that Steven Gerrard made a big deal of in pre-season.
