Aston Villa starlet Tim Iroegbunam unlikely to be recalled from QPR
Tim Iroegbunam has enjoyed a very good start to his life at QPR but Aston Villa are not likely to recall him from his loan in January.
That’s according to Rangers boss Michael Beale who claims the 19-year-old has been loving his time in the capital as he tries to help them to promotion back to the Premier League.
So far this season, Iroegbunam has made seven appearances in the Championship to have helped guide QPR towards the very top of the division as the World Cup break looms large.

“I don’t see why it would change anything,” Beale said, as quoted by West London Sport. “Aston Villa loan the player to QPR and the decision would have been made with Steven’s agreement but it would have been a club decision.
“I think they will be delighted with his progress. We had a visit from them last week as well as Man United to see Ethan and at the moment it’s so far so good.
“Tim is really enjoying it, we’re enjoying having him and we can all see he is a player with a big future in front of him.”
No rush
Clubs can sometimes be too quick to try and promote their young starlets into the first team just because they have shown glimpses of potential and it often falls flat on its face.

Pep Guardiola managed Phil Foden perfectly with occasional games and starts but he was very cautious not to burn him out too soon when he had plenty of talented players to cover.
Iroegubunam is not at the England international’s level and might never be but more importantly, he is not yet at a stage where he is ready to start Premier League matches every week.
He is, however, at a standard where he can hold his own for a Championship side that is fighting towards the very top of perhaps the world’s most difficult division.
Unai Emery has to resist any temptation to recall him and leave him at QPR where he could potentially put a promotion on his CV and then fight for his place at Villa Park next season.
In other Aston Villa news, one of the Villans’ key players is ahead of schedule for their injury return and could even make it to the World Cup.
