Aston Villa: Boubacar Kamara ahead of schedule for injury return – The Athletic
Boubacar Kamara is now ahead of schedule for his return from injury and could feature for Aston Villa prior to the World Cup, according to The Athletic.
The 22-year-old suffered knee ligament injuries in September which had threatened to end his World Cup hopes with France but he could now get back to fitness before the provisional squad is announced.
There is a possibility that Kamara even makes it back into the Aston Villa squad by the time the Villans host Manchester United on 6 November.

The French international spent three weeks at FIFA’s medical centre in Dubai to accelerate his recovery time and has subsequently improved his chances of making Didier Deschamps’ final squad.
The provisional list is due to be announced on 11 November and the Aston Villa midfielder has his chance of being named in the mix with N’Golo Kante already ruled out with a knee injury of his own.
Huge boost
Unai Emery has enjoyed a lot of his success as a manager by having a very good holding midfielder to lean on when things are getting tough and that is what Kamara brings to the table.
The new boss will have to wait a little while to have the luxury of selecting the 22-year-old but he will be very excited to be able to select him, potentially against United.

Steven Gerrard’s downfall at Villa Park wasn’t helped by injuries to Kamara and Diego Carlos but he didn’t help himself either and once the Frenchman returns to the fold, things will drastically improve on the pitch.
Emery simply has to get him back involved as soon as possible after he was the effective headline signing of the summer and has barely played so far this season.
The slow rise up the Premier League table has to start sooner or later for Aston Villa to stay out of danger and this timely news is ideal.
In other Aston Villa news, Richard Keys has been boasting about a prediction he made months ago regarding Gerrard’s time at Bodymoor.
