Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard wants to change the way frustrated fans feel
Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard wants to silence the frustrated fans of the club after he was booed off the pitch at Villa Park in Sunday’s loss to Chelsea.
Villa put in a much-improved performance and were unfortunate not to come out of the game with any points but they still lacked firepower in the final third.
Gerrard confessed that he “understands” the fan’s current frustrations but he wants to put things right by stringing together a good run of results.

“You can understand the frustration because they have seen their team perform really well for an hour but not score any goals,” said Gerrard as quoted by the Express and Star.
“I heard a group singing from the Holte End. It is what it is. I have to do everything I can to try and change the way they feel at the moment.”

Again.
It’s the same old story with Villa yet again, they actually put in a decent performance yesterday but they weren’t decisive enough in the final third.
One self-imploding moment from Tyrone Mings didn’t help matters either and doomed Villa to a damning defeat before they could really get going.
Villa now faces must-win games against Fulham and Brentford, tricky to say the least, and it’s far from a foregone conclusion that they’ll get any points from the two competitive London sides.
Gerrard still has time, however, his side were much better than Chelsea for the majority of the game despite slipping to a 2-0 defeat.
Questions really need to be asked of the forward options in his team, Ollie Watkins and Danny Ings just aren’t cutting it at the moment and patience from the fans is wearing thin.
Gerrard needs some results to go his way, or he could be facing down the barrel of an unfortunate sacking.
In other Aston Villa news, this international missed training at Bodymoor this week but he is still available to play against Chelsea.
