Arsenal could make another bid for Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz in January
Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz could be the subject of a third transfer bid from Arsenal when the window reopens in January, according to the Sun.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is reportedly concerned about Thomas Partey’s constant injuries and wants a reliable midfielder to be part of his ranks.
Villa may finally be persuaded to let go of Luiz and will likely have another midfielder lined up to replace him before doing so.

Arsenal are expected to bid less for Luiz this time around due to the Brazilian’s contract with Villa ending in less than six months’ time.
Villa will likely entertain the offer rather than losing Luiz on a free next summer; infuriating stuff considering the amount the Gunners were bidding in the final days of the summer window.
Luiz, however, has barely featured in Steven Gerrard’s first XI this campaign and a move could seem to be the best option for all parties involved.

Adeus.
With Arsenal rumoured to be launching a third bid in January, Villa must sell Luiz and get what they can for their talent rather than losing him for free.
With the midfield reinforcements made at the club this summer, this should’ve been a forgone conclusion in the last days of the latest window.
It seems the player is also keen on the move, after previously working with Arteta during his time at Manchester City.
Villa will need to line up a replacement for Luiz; a consistent midfielder who doesn’t necessarily have to start every game but is capable of doing a job when needed.
Aston Villa should be able to still make a profit on Luiz too; this seems like too good a deal to be salty and stubborn over.
Get this one done and over the line early in the transfer window, no one wants to be seeing Luiz links away from the club for countless days on end again.
