Privilege to play alongside Aston Villa playmaker Philippe Coutinho – Roberto Firmino
Roberto Firmino has heaped praise on Aston Villa playmaker Philippe Coutinho and called him an “amazing player”.
Both players spent some successful time at Anfield before the Brazil international eventually moved to Barcelona.
Firmino, on Liverpool’s YouTube channel, praised his former teammate and said that it was a “privilege” to play alongside him.

“We had a great bond when we played together,” he said. “It was a privilege to play alongside him, he is an amazing player and I admire him a lot.”
Top talent
Coutinho has always been a top talent since he emerged onto the scene and undoubtedly his best years came when he was at Liverpool where he was simply unstoppable.
It was because of this reason La Liga outfit Barcelona ended up paying £146 million to sign the player in the January 2018 transfer window [Sky Sport].

However, that move became a horrible dream for the Brazil international who first spent a loan spell at Bayern Munich and then later moved to Villa to rejuvenate his career.
Since moving to Villa Park, first on loan and then later on a permanent deal, Coutinho has shown glimpses of what he is capable of but it is very far off from what the fans expected of him at the time of his arrival.
Even though Villa’s season is now turning into a decent one after some positive results, manager Steven Gerrard will still be hoping to see more contribution from his marquee signing.
In other Aston Villa news, Douglas Luiz could triple wages by leaving the club.
