Teen Aston Villa fan gets to watch his beloved team after a year in hospital

Aston Villa have allowed a fan who spent a year in hospital the chance of a lifetime to return to his beloved club and watch them in action, according to BBC News.

Jude Aston, a 17-year-old who suffers from cerebral palsy and chronic pain syndrome, has unfortunately been bed-ridden for the last three years because of his condition.

He has been unable to watch his precious Villa for years, however, he was finally able to leave the New Cross Hospital and watch Steven Gerrard’s team defeat Everton.

More than a game.

This story just proves that sometimes football is more than just a game, and it can bring unimaginable happiness to some people.

The story of Jude Aston is the story of a teenager who has been through some of the toughest things in life.

Serious medical conditions that have unfortunately altered his childhood and his day-to-day life to an extend some could not even comprehend.

However, because of football and his love for Aston Villa, all that pain and hardship was forgotten about for one special day.

What was a standard Saturday afternoon and three points was much more for a teenager that got to live a dream he probably replayed over and over in his head while he was in hospital.

The joy of football sometimes is forgotten about, but if the story of the strong Jude Aston reminds us of anything, it is that sometimes the little things we take for granted, mean the world to someone else.
