Tyrone Mings and Emiliano Buendia fit for Aston Villa clash vs Everton

Aston Villa are set to have Tyrone Mings and Emiliano Buedia available for their Saturday clash with Everton after the duo recovered from injury.

Mings was named as a substitute on the opening day defeat to Bournemouth, while Buendia missed the game with a knock picked up during pre-season.

But in an update provided by the club on their official Twitter account ahead of the game against Everton this weekend, both have been training with the squad and are available for selection.

While Mings and Buendia are available to be picked by Steven Gerrard, defender Kortney Hause is back in training following an injury but he is still unavailable.

Villa are looking to pick up their first points of the season following defeat to Bournemouth, and the fans will be expecting a far better performance this weekend than they had in the first game of the season.

Depth

Gerrard had a near full squad to pick from last week and the team completely failed to perform in any way that he would have wanted them to.

He wanted to play a strong side that can control possession, create chances, score goals and defend well but the same problems of defending set pieces was an issue.

The boss now has some extra options to help solve those problems, although Mings is likely to continue starting on the bench behind Ezri Konsa and Diego Carlos.

Buendia could offer a good creative option either as a number ten or a winger to help unlock defences, with Everton struggling against quick thinking attackers in the past.

Now fans’ predicted XI’s are likely to look a little different, and with Buendia fit again the side just got a little bit stronger heading into the final weeks of the transfer window and for the rest of the season.
