Best for both parties if Keinan Davis seals Aston Villa exit this summer – Alan Hutton
We’re delighted to welcome former Scotland defender Alan Hutton as our exclusive columnist each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Aston Villa
Alan Hutton has insisted that Keinan Davis leaving Aston Villa this summer will be best for all parties.
The ex-Villa defender admitted that Steven Gerrard will struggle to find a place for the striker ahead of the likes of Danny Ings and Ollie Watkins, with even Cameron Archer shining in pre-season.
It comes after it was reported by The Mirror that a proposed summer move to Nottingham Forest is now in doubt as they look at other alternatives.

“I think they will [want to ensure it is done],” he exclusively told Villa News.
“Again, I’ve spoken a lot about him in recent seasons and I do like him, he’s had opportunities. He’s got issues with fitness, he kind of overcame that and had a good run in the team and felt the love at Forest, that would be an ideal situation for him to go there, I know they’ve spent a lot of money, bought in a striker and whether that’s an option for him.
“I can’t see him getting into this Aston Villa team, with the options they have upfront, it’s going to be so difficult. It would suit both parties if he was to try and get that move.”

Spot on.
Davis would need something miraculous to happen for him to cement a spot at Villa Park.
Watkins and Ings are the main two options, and with Archer firing on all cylinders during the tour of Australia, he may have cemented his spot as the third striker.
With Steven Gerrard potentially considering a new face in the final third this summer, that could push Davis further down the pecking order between now and September.
After his loan move at Forest and helping them earn promotion to the Premier League, that move made sense, but with doubt now behind that, it will be interesting to see what happens next.
