Full agreement in place for Trezeguet to leave Aston Villa for Trabzonspor – Fabrizio Romano

Trezeguet is reportedly set to leave Aston Villa and join Turkish side Trabzonspor this summer.

According to Fabrizio Romano, a full agreement is in place for the 27-year-old to leave the Premier League outfit.

He will now undergo his medical in Istanbul where he is set to fly out to on June 2 along with his agent.

Via Twitter, the Sky Sports journalist wrote, “Trezeguet’s set to leave Aston Villa in order to join Trabzonspor, confirmed. Full agreement in place between all parties. Trezeguet will fly to Istanbul tonight with his agent in order to undergo medical tests and sign the contract.”

Time to go

Trezeguet’s failed to establish himself at Villa Park and the majority of the fanbase would’ve wanted him gone this summer.

He’s just not at the level of the first team and if they are to challenge for the top half or even European places then they certainly need a better kind of player.

His exit would leave space vacant in the squad and will also take his wages off the payroll which is going to be beneficial.

It’s important that the Villans sign a wide attacker or maybe even two in the coming few weeks and hopefully give Gerrard enough time to integrate them into the first team.

If they are being signed from abroad, it will take them more time to adapt and that must be factored in with the season starting earlier than normal.

In other Aston Villa news, manager Steven Gerrard is very keen to bring Liverpool defender Joe Gomez to the club.
