Tottenham Hotspur beat Aston Villa in race to sign Yves Bissouma – Sky Sports
Aston Villa have reportedly lost in the race to sign Yves Bissouma from Brighton with him set to join Tottenham Hotspur.
According to Sky Sports Transfer Centre (June 14, 10:05 am), the Mali international is set to have his medical at the North London club on Thursday.
The 25-year-old will leave the Seagulls after a successful stint there for a fee in the region of £25million.

Not needed
The Villans needed one quality midfielder this summer and they got that in the form of Boubacar Kamara.
Sure, Bissouma is an upgrade on him, but he would not have come for free and that money can now be spent elsewhere.
Steven Gerrard has the likes of John McGinn, Douglas Luiz and now Kamara at his disposal in central midfield and signing another one there would have just complicated things.
Spurs were in the race and both could offer him higher wages and European football – something that he may not have got at Villa Park for at least the next two seasons.
Hopefully, the club now focus on signing another defender and maybe sign a couple of wide attackers as they need to add to their depth and also for players to force their way into the first team.
Things are looking good from a Villa perspective this window and we cannot wait to see how things transpire once the season commences.
In other Aston Villa news, manager Steven Gerrard is very keen to bring Liverpool defender Joe Gomez to the club.
