Michael Beale set for Aston Villa stay despite interest from English clubs – report

Steven Gerrard’s assistant Michael Beale is reportedly to stay put at Aston Villa despite interest from elsewhere.

According to The Telegraph, he was been the subject of interest from Championship and League One clubs but the Villans are confident of keeping hold of him.

He moved to Villa Park along with Gerrard earlier this season, having worked with the former Liverpool captain at Rangers.

Good move

A manager is as good as the coaches around him who are constantly giving him feedback about different aspects of the game.

Beale knows what Gerrard wants and the latter knows what the former can bring to the table in terms of expertise.

There’s a reason why Rangers were so successful over the last few years and the coaching duo played a major role in getting them there.

Much like Gers, Villa have also seen a bit of a slump recently, but Gerrard does seem to be the right man to get them over the line and take them to the next level.

He’s known to be a terrific squad builder and does not compromise on his style of football while doing so.

The fans are already starting to warm up to him and much like at Ibrox, Beale too, will soon become a fan favourite at Villa Park.

In other Aston Villa news, Steven Gerrard is very keen to bring Liverpool defender Joe Gomez to the club.
