Aston Villa attacker Indiana Vassilev rejoins Inter Miami on loan
Aston Villa winger Indiana Vassilev has made a second loan move to Inter Miami after spending four months there last year, the club has confirmed.
The 21-year-old will be making his fourth loan move since joining the club’s academy in 2018, and links back up with Phil Neville in Florida.
The youngster broke into the Villans first team in the 2019/20 season, but has not featured at all under current boss Steven Gerrard.

On his last return to his home nation he made 21 appearances and scored three times for David Beckham’s young franchise.
He also spent last season on loan at first Burton Albion in League One, and then Cheltenham Town in League Two, making 12 appearances for each without scoring, but helped the Robins to the fourth-tier title.
Not long for Villa
After an encouraging start to his senior professional career in England it looks like the American doesn’t have a long-term future at the club.
The Birmingham Mail reports that his current contract is set to expire in the summer, during which time he will be in MLS.
Unless there is some sort of agreement for his time in the Midlands to be extended it is unclear how he can be on loan somewhere without a parent club.

Although last season’s loan moves may have been part of a plan to develop him to the point of being ready for further involvement in Dean Smith’s set up, it looks like those hopes are over.
Gerrard has utilised youngsters in his squad such as Carney Chukwuemeka and Tim Iroegbunam but clearly saw no place for Vassilev.
Across five recent Premier League 2 appearances for the Villans he scored twice and assisted another, but in terms of the first team he currently looks unlikely to add to the four Premier League outings and one each in the FA Cup and League Cup from two seasons ago.
In other Aston Villa news, fellow young forward Louie Barry is currently gunning for a League Two promotion of his own on loan.
