What is latest on Leon Bailey's exit?

Despite a permanent exit mostly discussed earlier in the summer, a loan move is now most likely.

Sacha Tavolieri has reported that Bailey could now even sign a new contract at Villa Park.

The Belgian journalist states that Sevilla have opened talks over a loan move for the Jamaican flyer.

Saudi side, Al Diriyah are now competing for the signing of the winger, too.

What is Leon Bailey's current contract?

This makes very little sense.

Bailey is out of contract in June 2027, so the goal this summer should have been to get his wages gone completely.

Aston Villa don't exactly need funds, given the amount they've raised through Morgan Rogers and others this summer.

Of course, it's all the hope that Bailey will shine on loan and then move permanently next summer, but it's yet another gamble.

NSWE need to be more ruthless, either sell the winger or maybe even terminate his contract mutually if he wants a move away so badly.

If the loan doesn't go well this season, should it happen, then Villa are just stuck in the exact same position that they were in.
