Ollie Watkins continues to be linked with a move from Aston Villa to Fenerbahce.

The striker is currently away with England in North America after earning a World Cup call-up for Thomas Tuchel's squad.

He has featured just once so far, but will have his eyes set on minutes should the Three Lions progress against Mexico on Monday.

The end of his tournament looks set to make way for transfer talks after finishing the season with a flourish at Villa Park.

The 30-year-old did face criticism last season but turned things around as he got to 26 goal involvements before the campaign ended.

Watkins may still be at the end of the road in claret and blue as Villa News rounds up what we know about a potential Fenerbahce move.

The Englishman is Villa's all-time top Premier League scorer and is firmly within their 100 club.

By winning the Europa League he has now cemented himself further within Villa Park folklore.

That looks to be playing a role in their verdict on a potential move away for the attacker this summer.

Turkish journalist Ahmet Ercanlar reported on Sunday that "Villa doesn't really want to sell", something which could prompt a "big deal" if it does happen.

That comes after multiple reports from Turkiye emerged suggesting that Fenerbahce have reached an agreement with Watkins himself.

It has been suggested that talks are ongoing with the Villans, although Fener's move could hinge on their efforts to sign Serhou Guirassy from Borussia Dortmund.

That may prove to be the deciding factor, but the final call will ultimately lie in the hands of Unai Emery, but it will all depend what fee the Turkish giants are willing to pay.

How much could Aston Villa demand for Watkins?

Fenerbahce seem pretty confident after initial talks that they could make a deal happen, based on reports.

They have never been a side to necessarily spend big, with Matteo Guendouzi being their record signing at around £24million.

That would likely see Watkins become their record signing as Villa will surely want the fee they paid for him back.

It may have been six years, but the claret and blue outfit are unlikely to accept less than the £28m they got him for.

A fee upwards of that may be on the table considering how much of an impact the number 11 has had infront of goal for the Villans.

It would make no sense to accept less than that, so Fenerbahce can have positive talks, but will have to match Villa's demands to land his signature.
