Aston Villa could make a move to sign Morgan Gibbs-White this summer.

The B6 outfit are yet to complete a signing this summer after winning the Europa League.

There have been plenty of links as Unai Emery looks to prepare his squad for the Champions League.

Many different areas of the pitch are likely to be addressed with attacking options being reviewed.

Gibbs-White has been linked in the past and would certainly be an exciting option in claret and blue.

The Villans may now have a route to the Nottingham Forest star after a change at Bodymoor Heath.

Aston Villa's new coach has Morgan Gibbs-White link

There has been plenty of noise in B6 this week as alterations were made behind the scenes.

Antonio Rodríguez Saravia and Pako Ayestaran have both departed B6 after many years of service alongside Emery.

There has been no time wasted in finding their replacements with Jose Maria Sanz coming in, in place of the latter, as assistant coach.

The 56-year-old is widely experienced having featured across various sides including Valencia and Osasuna recently.

He also has knowledge of the English game having featured as assistant manager of Sheffield United in the 2021/22 season.

That year he worked with Gibbs-White as he featured for the Blades on loan from Wolves.

He scored 11 and assisted nine in the Championship that year as Sanz clearly helped to get the best out of him.

That could serve him well and see an avenue open up should the Villa move for the Englishman.

How Aston Villa can sign Gibbs-White and Everton star

The Spaniard and Gibbs-White have an existing relationship that could benefit the Villans this summer.

He would certainly be a superb signing after contributing to 25 goals in all competitions for Nottingham Forest this summer.

The number 10 would make a massive difference if he could be brought in, as would a former Sheffield United teammate.

In the same season Gibbs-White featured at Bramall Lane, Iliman Ndiaye was shining in the Championship.

The Senegal international also worked with Sanz and put excellent numbers with seven goals in the second tier.

A move has already been touted for the Everton star and could take a step up now the new assistant coach has taken up a role in B6.

It could prove to be the best move Villa made this summer to bring in the new staff member if he can help seal even one big move for one of these star names.
