Aston Villa are set to make a big transfer call on Triston Rowe this summer.

The Villains have already let a number of young talents leave Villa Park this summer.

Unai Emery's first-team squad is an incredibly tough one to break into for any young player.

Rowe joined Aston Villa as a 14-year-old having previously been with West Bromwich Albion, and has represented England at various youth levels.

However, the 19-year-old is yet to make a competitive appearance for Villa, instead being resigned to academy football so far.

And now with just weeks to go before the transfer window closes, Rowe is awaiting news on whether he's still got a future in B6.

Who is interested in signing Triston Rowe from Aston Villa?

With Aston Villa's academy renowned as being one of the best in English football, clubs are always keeping an eye on their young talent.

Rowe is a highly-rated player, and despite being a right-back by trade, he can operate as a winger and even in central defence.

As such, he's bound to have interest in his services should Villa decide to end his time in the West Midlands this summer.

The Athletic claim that Rowe is indeed likely to leave Villa Park before the 1 September deadline.

It's claimed that Championship side Stoke City and French Ligue 1 outfit Brest are amongst a number of teams keen on his signature.

The report states that Villa could commission a permanent or loan exit for the teenager, who has been in talks with a host of clubs already.

Rowe spent the 2025-26 season on loan with Annecy in Ligue 2, but how did he fare there and will it have a decisive baring on Villa's decision?

Where Rowe led Ligue 2 rivals in 2025-26

Last term saw Rowe head out on his first ever loan move as a professional with Annecy.

They would finish seventh in Ligue 2 last year, and Rowe played a big part in that, turning out 30 times in the league for them.

He saw most of his opportunities come as a right winger there too, and he put up some league-leading numbers in the French second division.

As per FotMob, he led Ligue 2 right wingers in 2025-26 for possessions won in the final third with 19.

Meanwhile, his 26 successful dribbles and seven big chances created ranked him in the top 1.6 and 2.5 percentiles of his positional rivals.

Rowe also delivered 17 successful crosses, won 116 duels, made 130 defensive contributions, 52 clearances and won 51 tackles.

Overall then, he was Annecy's do-it-all star down the right last season, and Villa chiefs must surely have been delighted with his loan spell.

So, perhaps Emery would be wise to loan the youngster out again, as he could be one that slipped the net otherwise.
