Carney Chukwuemeka is reportedly in London as he's finalising the terms of his Aston Villa exit and joining Chelsea.

According to Sky Sports Italy journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 18-year-old will leave for a £15million fee plus add-ons and it would rise up to £20million.

The Blues have beaten a host of European clubs to secure the services of the in-demand teenager.

Via Twitter, Romano wrote, "Carney Chukwuemeka, in London together with his agents and family. He will undergo medical tests today in order to be unveiled this week as new Chelsea player for £15m fee plus add-ons up to £20m package. 🔵🩺 #CFC

"Contract will be until June 2028. 100% confirmed."

Good deal

Villa have got a decent amount for a player that did not still establish himself as a first-team regular.

There always was a feeling that he would part ways with the club, but few expected him to move to London.

Steven Gerrard did not even include him in his pre-season plans which clearly suggests that the decision to let him go was already made.

We will be keeping a close eye on him as he's one of the brightest English talents and will be a treat to the Premier League.

This also shows that the Villans have a phenomenal academy setup and long may it continue to yield quality first-team players - some of whom may even stay at the club for the longer term.
