Bradley Burrowes plan in place as Aston Villa ready academy sales to combat SCR
Bradley Burrowes is one of the brightest prospects coming through at Aston Villa right now.
There have long been starlets emerging at Bodymoor Heath who look ready for a first-team opportunity
It has become a difficult pathway for many to take at Villa Park, especially under Unai Emery.
That is the biggest compliment that can be paid to the 18-year-old as he has already made his senior debut in claret and blue.
After a stellar campaign at youth level, it is no surprise that Burrowes has caught the eye in B6.
That has prompted Villa to take action and set out a plan as financial issues look set to impact their academy set-up.
Why Aston Villa could be forced to sell academy stars
There has been no shortage of frustration over the years in the Midlands as the claret and blue outfit continue to be restricted.
Monetary issues have been widely reported and have been impossible to escape from.
That has forced many sales with the likes of Jacob Ramsey, Jhon Duran and Moussa Diaby all leaving for big money despite a desire to keep them.
Those complaints have continued this summer, with Villa potentially set to utilise their academy to help negate these issues.
The Athletic reported on Tuesday that the Villans are considering sales for academy players to help fight against SCR and other financial regulations.
Several starlets are available to leave, but the B6 outfit want to control their futures by the way of buyback clauses, matching rights or other mechanisms.
Burrowes and George Hemmings won't be impacted by that as they will only depart on loan if they are to leave after Villa evaluate them both in pre-season.
That will be music to the ears of the Villa Park faithful as long as their temporary exits are right.
Where could Bradley Burrowes go on loan?
The forward is arguably the best goalscoring talent emerging through the ranks at Bodymoor Heath.
He scored 11 and assisted three in Premier League 2 last season, having put up six goal involvements the year before.
That came in the midst of a first-team debut at Villa Park, summing up how highly rated he is.
Burrowes now needs to get his next move right and a move to League One may prove to be wise.
Setting out his stall too high may prove to be a mistake as it could harm him before he gets chance to get up and running in senior football.
He could thrive in the third-tier before ultimately sealing a move further up the EFL down the line.
Villa need to tread carefully with the young attacker as he could prove to be one of the brightest talents they will produce for a long time.
