Aston Villa told '£50m enough' for Antonio Nusa after Millwall recommendation

Aston Villa could make a move to sign RB Leipzig star Antonio Nusa after the World Cup, according to a former scout.

The 21-year-old is preparing for his first outing at the showpiece tournament with Norway.

Stale Solbakken's side will line up against Iraq, Senegal and France in the group stage, with the winger set to play a telling role.

He is coming off the back of a second positive campaign in the Bundesliga where he contributed to nine goals in all competitions.

His performances have prompted links away from the Red Bull Arena, while Villa search for a winger this summer.

The claret and blue outfit have been backed to move for Nusa with a big-money move potentially on the cards.

There is a desire in B6 to land a new attacking wide option ahead of the new campaign.

That appears to be up there with the top priorities in the Midlands as the summer window gets underway.

Many names have been linked with the Villans, but Nusa could prove to be a top option after linking up with Norway at the World Cup.

Ex-scout and Norwegian football expert Bryan King believes he could be a top signing at Villa Park after recommending him as a signing to his former side Millwall in 2021.

Speaking exclusively to Villa News, King said: "He would be a good player for Aston Villa. He's an exciting player, he really is. I recommended him to Millwall five years ago before he moved to Germany.

"It will be interesting to see how he performs at the World Cup because he did very well in qualifying. He's a good finisher, he works hard and he's very technical. He would certainly be a big plus for Villa.

"Villa will be watching him at the World Cup and I think they'll have had an eye on him at Leipzig.

"His next step will be the Premier League, so why not Aston Villa. Leipzig will want between £40m and £60m this summer, so £50m could be a realistic fee for a top young player."

How far could Aston Villa go to sign Nusa?

It could prove to be a record fee that is required to assure the services of the Norway forward.

He is one of the best young attacking talents in Europe after breaking through at RB Leipzig after signing in 2024.

They won't be keen to let him go, especially after securing Champions League qualification.

That could prompt a fee in and around the £60m mark for Villa to try and seal a deal this summer.

At that fee, he would represent the record signing in B6, overtaking the £50m spent on Amadou Onana two years ago.

That could prove to be a risk worth taking, especially if he has a positive World Cup with Norway in the coming weeks.
