Aston Villa could soon welcome Jack Grealish back from Manchester City this summer.

The ex-England international departed Villa Park in the summer of 2021 for the Etihad.

The Villans bagged a record fee of a £100million for his signature, a record that has since been broken by Morgan Rogers' Chelsea switch.

Things obviously started well for the 30-year-old under Pep Guardiola as he secured three Premier League titles, a Champions League and an FA Cup.

It all started to go downhill from there and he eventually ended up on loan at Everton last season.

Grealish's future is now up in the air and a B6 comeback could be on the cards should another deal go through.

How could Aston Villa sign Jack Grealish?

The attacking midfielder has certainly been subject to mixed opinions since departing the Midlands.

Negativity surrounded him as jeers and whistles filled his City days with each of his visits back home.

That wasn't replicated with the Toffees as he was given an ovation by the Holte last time around.

He could soon be lapping up the applause back in claret and blue as a return may be possible.

The Sun reported on Sunday that Grealish is seeking another move away from Man City and has been discussed as a potential signing by Villa.

Those in B6 believe he could provide squad depth next season should Leon Bailey finally seal a move to Hull City.

A return could now be a possibility, but there are other options on the table.

Where could Grealish go from Manchester City?

Villa News has long covered the potential of a B6 return for Grealish after all these years.

That hasn't been done thus far as Everton were able to swoop in and seal a loan deal last summer.

The Toffees are interested in doing exactly that once again as they don't appear willing to make the move permanent.

They see that as too much of a risk, while Atletico Madrid admire the Englishman for his work rate.

The stumbling block there might be the limited minutes he could pick up in the Spanish capital, so a move may not be worth his time.

Saudi Arabian outfits are also showing a keen interest, with three sides said to be willing to splash out between £17m and £21m a year for his wage.

MLS clubs are also putting their cards on the table as they eye Grealish as a potential franchise player.

That throws plenty of spanners in the work for Villa to deal with, but it would be interesting to see how the Englishman would view a return home to Bodymoor Heath.
