What Aston Villa can expect as academy ace Cameron Ellis joins new agency
Aston Villa under-16s star Cameron Ellis has moved to join a new agency.
Unai Emery certainly has high standards in B6, but still affords chances to young talents.
George Hemmings has become the latest to prove his worth in the first-team after being a regular to start the campaign.
He is just the latest off the production line in claret and blue.
The Villans will already be looking for the next big thing as several starlets make their way at Bodymoor Heath.
Ellis is certainly catching the eye for Villa as he moves to secure his future.
Why is Cameron Ellis so exciting?
There is always a desire for young talents to make their way in B6.
Fans may have been keen to see more talents becoming star talents under Emery in recent years.
It will ultimately down to those breaking through to prove their worth to the Spaniard.
Ellis certainly has a long way to go before he can do that, but is seemingly taking steps as part of the U16s.
It was announced on Wednesday that the defender had signed with agent Ned Ozkasim.
In a statement to confirm the news, he wrote: "An athletic, left footed centre back who is equally comfortable at left-back and attacking midfield is eligible to represent England, Germany and Poland at international level.
"An exciting talent with a bright future ahead. Welcome, Cam."
That certainly bodes well for the future as we assess who Ellis could replicate in B6.
Where could Ellis fit into Aston Villa's first-team?
Obviously, it is very early to suggest a U16s ace will be featuring in the first-team any time soon.
That shouldn't stop the versatile talent of where his future could lie in B6.
With the ability to play a number of positions, it may be wise to narrow one of those down in the coming years.
There plenty of sources of inspiration for his future as a midfielder should he look to take it.
They don't come much bigger than John McGinn who also operated as a left-back at an earlier stage of his career.
The Scot has proven that hard-work and the right attitude trumps talent and has forged a stellar career out of just that.
It is clear that Ellis has the talent and everyone in B6 will be keen to see what the future holds.
