Supercomputer predicts outcome of Aston Villa vs Brentford in Premier League
Aston Villa are preparing to face Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday.
It will have been three weeks since their last competitive outing when Unai Emery's side take the pitch at Villa Park on 10 October.
An extended international break arguably came at a good time following a 3-2 win away to Tottenham.
It was massively important to get three points on the board, with Johan Manzambi, Nicolas Jackson and Emi Buendia making sure of that.
They now return to action as the Bees are set for a trip to B6.
Brentford represent a sticky opposition for Villa, but can they get another win under their belt?
What is predicted to happen in Brentford vs Aston Villa?
Keith Andrews' side continue to represent a surprise package in the top flight.
They weren't expected to do as well as they did last campaign and were once again underestimated before the current year.
The West London outfit have started the season in superb form and currently sit fourth in the table.
The Bees are coming off the back of a win of their own after smashing Chelsea 3-0 last time out.
That may not help them at Villa Park, though.
Opta's supercomputer has the Villans as favourites, with a 47.8 per cent of victory to the home side.
That's followed by a 26.2 per cent of an away victory, and a 26.1 per cent chance of the draw.
What is Unai Emery's record vs Brentford?
Emery is easily up there with the best managers in the Premier League, but certainly has his bogey teams.
Everyone knows about his struggles against Oliver Glasner and Crystal Palace, but Brentford also have his number.
Villa haven't beaten the Bees since March 2025, having only won twice since 2024.
The last outing saw a 10-man Brentford side seal a 1-0 win at Villa Park, despite having 28 per cent possession and 0.38 expected goals to their name.
By comparison, the claret and blue outfit racked up 72 per cent possession, 2.40 expected goals with 27 shots, but just five on target.
The damning stat is that Emery only has one Villa Park win against the Bees under his belt, something which he will be keen to change this time around.
The computer backs him to do it, but will that become reality?
