Jamie Carragher is honest about his expectations for Wednesday's UEFA Champions League clash between Paris Saint-Germain and Aston Villa.

Aston Villa will be determined to extend their winning streak across all competitions to eight games when they travel to the Parc des Princes on 9 April.

However, Unai Emery and Co. will be wary of the threats posed by PSG, who beat Liverpool on penalties at Anfield to claim their place in the Champions League quarter-finals.

The French giants will also be high on confidence going into the game in Paris, having won each of their last six matches.

Carragher predicts result of PSG v Aston Villa

With the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final tie scheduled at Villa Park next Tuesday (15 April), Aston Villa will look to avoid defeat at the very least in Paris.

However, Carragher fears PSG will have "too much" for Emery's side despite their recent run of form.

The Sky Sports pundit suggested that Les Parisiens are the favourites to win the Champions League, thus predicting a 2-0 victory in their favour on Wednesday.

"PSG look as good as anyone in the competition right now, and I think they will have too much for Villa in the first leg", Carragher wrote in his predictions for Sky Sports' Super6.

Elsewhere, Carragher expects Real Madrid to claim a 2-1 victory over Arsenal in the first leg of their quarter-final tie at the Emirates Stadium.

He also tipped Barcelona to cruise past Borussia Dortmund, while predicting a 1-1 draw between Bayern Munich and Inter Milan.

Emery eye upset over PSG

This has already been a fruitful season for Aston Villa, who have also booked a place in the FA Cup semi-final.

Villa are in a strong position to qualify for the Champions League again, as they are placed seventh in the Premier League table with seven games left to play.

Therefore, Emery's side have nothing to lose when they lock horns with PSG.

That is not to say the Spanish tactician will take the tie easily. He will be very much determined to cause an upset over his former employers.
