Aston Villa star Jhon Duran could join Al-Nassr before the transfer deadline and Alan Brazil is not impressed.

The Colombian forward could be set to leave Villa Park before the 3 February deadline with the Saudi Arabian outfit stepping up their pursuit.

Ben Jacobs gave an update on talkSPORT (29 January, 6:50) claiming that clarity on the situation should come later on Monday on whether they decide to move for Duran or Bayer Leverkusen's Victor Boniface.

With a look of disgust on his face, Brazil responded to the suggestion with a long groan, saying: "Oh, no."

Aston Villa could lose Jhon Duran

Unai Emery seems unlikely to ditch his preference for one striker in his starting line-up anytime soon, so Duran is stuck behind Ollie Watkins in the pecking order for now.

The Colombian has had an excellent season so far despite playing second fiddle to the Englishman for the majority of the campaign.

It initially seemed like the Villans were not going to let the former Chicago Fire star leave in the winter transfer window after they rejected a bid from West Ham earlier this month.

However, that is no longer the case it would seem with the B6 outfit set to accept a bid of over £58million from the Saudi club.

Duran wants to be starting week in, week out but surely a move to Saudi at the age of just 21 years old is a waste of his talents.

He should stick around and wait for a move to a top European club and accept the role of backup striker under Emery for now.
