Boubacar Kamara 90 minutes update emerges for Aston Villa v Fulham clash post ACL injury

Aston Villa midfielder Boubacar Kamara is unlikely to play the full 90 minutes against Fulham on 19 October at Craven Cottage, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that even if he's in contention, as he's recovering from an ACL setback, the club will be more careful with him.

Unai Emery stated on 27 September that the Frenchman was training well and would soon be ready to play for the under-21s.

Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News: "The best case would be him being eligible to return to first team matches after the break.

"Worst case is a setback that delays that return longer.

"He is coming back from an ACL surgery so the club have to be methodical.

"Even if he is fit, he’s unlikely to play the full game.

"He would need to clear a late fitness test."

Aston Villa must not rush Boubacar Kamara back into action

It's been a lengthy setback for the 24-year-old and the last thing anyone would want is for his injury to relapse.

He's undoubtedly an important player who will add something more to Unai Emery's side but there's still no reason to make him play 90 minutes straight off the bat.

Even if he is fit, there's a good chance Emery will be told to limit him to 15-30 minutes in the Fulham game.
