We’re delighted to welcome Aston Villa podcaster Ty Bracey as our exclusive Aston Villa columnist each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at the club…

Ty Bracey believes there could be a breach of contract surrounding the Aston Villa situation with Castore after a development has emerged.

The Telegraph reported on its website on 9 January that Villa have agreed a deal with German sportswear company Adidas to take over as their kit manufacturer for next season.

It comes after the club complained to the UK-based Castore earlier in this campaign about a "wet-look" issue with their kits, which affected both the men's and women's teams.

Bracey believes the new agreement is a "step up" as the Villans fans have waited a "long time" for an Adidas kit at Villa Park.

Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “We obviously had that huge issue with the fabric and the players just being too wet.

"It’s one of those things where it’s too little too late and probably a breach of contract to some extent.

"I would definitely say that Adidas is a step up. We’ve waited a long time for an Adidas kit, so I’m all here for it. They make bespoke ranges for the bigger clubs.

"If we can get in that top bracket, which I don’t think we will, I think we’ll go in the bracket underneath, but I’m happy that we’ve got Adidas as a sponsor.”
