Aston Villa could have an opportunity to seal a club record deal for Iliman Ndiaye from Everton.

The Villans are coming off the back of Champions League qualification and Europa League glory, so now attention is turning to the summer.

Nassef Sawriris has already suggested that Unai Emery will be given the chance to improve his squad ahead of a fourth consecutive season in European competition.

That could begin with a big-money attacking addition in the shape of the Senegal international after two excellent campaigns on Merseyside.

Villa could make a move to sign Ndiaye and utilise an already existing link with the Toffees to get a deal done this summer.

The B6 outfit are in need of new attacking options moving into the new season as the Villans look to refresh their forward line.

Doing that by signing the 26-year-old could prove to be a smart piece of business after becoming a star man at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

He has become famed for his goal output and ability on the ball, despite David Moyes’ side missing out on European qualification this campaign.

Former Everton and Villa scout Bryan King has urged the claret and blue side to swoop in for his signature while using a link that was created when Amadou Onana made the move in 2024.

Speaking exclusively to Villa News, King said: “I would certainly take a look at Ndiaye at Everton.

“He’s an exciting footballer, and he can turn matches on his own.

“Villa have got to be looking at that level to sign players.

“Everton would demand £60million, and I would be surprised if there aren’t plenty of sides interested.

“There’s already a decent connection between Villa and Everton because they already did business for Amadou Onana.”

Leon Bailey looks to be on his way out of Villa, while Jadon Sancho’s loan is over, so bringing in a new star winger could prove to be a wise move in the Midlands.

How far would Aston Villa go to land Ndiaye this summer?

The Villans may not have £60m to spend right now due to the financial landscape at Villa Park, but that could soon change.

Morgan Rogers is being strongly linked with a move away, as Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United continue to be linked with a move for the England international.

If Villa could accrue around £100m for his signature, bringing in Ndiaye for £60m could prove to be a smart piece of business.

That would mark a club record fee, but there is every chance that the Toffees could demand an increased fee if Emery has the Rogers fee to spend.

Going towards the £70m mark may be too far, but it will all depend on what sort of funds are available to spend in B6.
