Sky Sports reporter at Villa Park shares what to expect before window closes – ‘Unai Emery wants this…’
Aston Villa have had a busy winter transfer window, with four new arrivals coming through the door at Villa Park.
Douglas Luiz and Tammy Abraham have returned for a second stint at the club, with young Brazilian talent Alysson joining as well.
Additionally, Leon Bailey has returned to England after his AS Roma loan spell was cut short, with Brian Madjo also joining from FC Metz.
Unai Emery is looking to complete a remarkable season, with Aston Villa in a prime position to secure Champions League football and potential Europa League silverware.
And now an update on what could be next for Aston Villa this window has emerged.

What is to be expected from Aston Villa’s deadline day?
After last year’s winter transfer window deadline day, Villa fans may be looking forward to some surprises.
However, it now looks to be a quiet end to the window for the Villans, after an update from Sky Sports’ Kirsty Edwards, who is outside Villa Park.
The reporter has said, “I was here this time last year for Deadline Day, Marco Asensio arrived and it was very exciting.
“Would Unai Emery like a repeat of that? Absolutely. Is he going to get it? No, is the short answer.“
Emery’s squad now looks to be set in stone for the rest of the season; however, Harvey Elliott could end up playing a bigger role for the rest of the season.
Elliott’s loan terms are being renegotiated with Liverpool, as Villa are not wanting to sign him on a permanent deal.
Elliott has featured in Villa’s last two matches, starting against RB Salzburg, but he is growing close to the quota for his obligatory buy option.
Will there be any exits at Villa Park?
While incomings are unlikely, the same can be said for outgoings for first-team players, which is certainly a positive for fans.
Currently, there is a bit of an injury crisis going on at the club, with John McGinn, Boubacar Kamara, and Youri Tielemans all set for prolonged spells on the sidelines.
However, in the same update from Edwards, she has confirmed that there could be some youth players heading out on loan to get game time.
Already, Aston Villa have secured a loan move for Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba, who has joined West Brom.
Elsewhere, out-on-loan defender Kosta Nedeljkovic has been subject to multiple approaches, but it remains to be seen how that progresses.
