Aston Villa injury news: Marcus Rashford update emerges
Aston Villa attacker Marcus Rashford is currently ruled out with a likely Grade 2 hamstring injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that Villa could try to push it a little in order to ensure he returns to fitness earlier than first expected.
The on-loan Manchester United attacker last played on 22 April, against Manchester City, when he scored a goal.

Rashford expected to be ruled out for two more weeks
It’s understood that the best case for him would’ve been a recovery in two weeks, but the fact that he’s not yet back in training suggests it’s more serious.
The England international does appear to be on course to return before the end of the season and could be back in full training in two weeks.
| Aston Villa | Games | Goals | Assists |
| Rashford | 17 | 4 | 5 |
Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News: “It’s a hamstring injury but the language from the manager does cloud the specifics.
“Based on those comments, I think it’s likely a Grade 2 out of 4 that will require a few weeks but considering where the club are in the table, they might try to push it a little and see if he can recover quicker.
“Best case would be a couple of weeks’ recovery, whereas worst case is unable to play again.
“As things stand, I do not see him back in full training for another two weeks.“

Aston Villa need to sign Rashford permanently
Villa should pursue a permanent transfer for Rashford to bolster their attacking prowess and elevate their Premier League ambitions.
His pace, versatility and proven goal-scoring ability, despite recent inconsistencies at Manchester United, could thrive under Unai Emery’s tactical discipline.
His experience in high-stakes matches would add depth to Villa’s squad, complementing players like Ollie Watkins.
At 27, Rashford remains a high-value asset with resale potential, making the investment worthwhile for Aston Villa.
A fresh start away from Old Trafford’s pressure could reignite his form, helping Villa challenge for European spots.
Securing him permanently would signal Villa’s intent to compete with the elite.
