Fabrizio Romano: ‘Here we go’ for Rashford as Aston Villa medical booked

Aston Villa have reached an agreement with Manchester United to loan Marcus Rashford, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The renowned Italian journalist reported in a post on X (2 February) that the Villans have agreed to pay 70 per cent of the 27-year-old’s salary with a medical now booked.

He stated that the deal includes an option to buy the England international for £40 million with the potential of a three-and-a-half-year contract.

Romano also said his signature “here we go” catchphrase to say that the deal is all but done.

Rashford needs Aston Villa move to be successful

The Red Devils ace needs his first-ever move away from his boyhood club to be a success after a torrid few months under Ruben Amorim.

A fresh start may be exactly what he needs but a move to Villa Park will not come without expectations and pressure.

The deal suits both parties as United are keen to get rid of the Three Lions ace and Villa need attacking additions after the departure of Duran.

Rashford has plenty of experience at the top level and might just need to leave the toxic environment at Old Trafford to thrive again.

It will give the England star a chance to showcase his talents in the Champions League and potentially return to the national team fold.

If Emery can get Rashford back to his former form, he will be a very dangerous asset and help Villa to secure a Champions League berth for a second successive season.
