Aston Villa forward Jaden Philogene wants to play for Fenerbahce ahead of the upcoming transfer window, Ivo Camacho says.

The 22-year-old's agent has disclosed that if a suitable deal were to arrive for his client, the Englishman could leave Villa Park in January, with Turkey an appealing destination.

Jose Mourinho's team are interested in taking the forward on loan and have contacted the Villans, but no offers have been made for him yet.

Speaking to SABAH Spor (29 December), Camacho said: "We haven't received a direct official offer yet. I wouldn't be surprised if there was any interest in this regard.

"Jaden, if there is a good offer, he will want to play for Fenerbahce. He always has the goal of being an ambitious team playing for the championship."

Jade Philogene failed to live up to expectations at Aston Villa

Philogene has failed to live up to expectations since returning to Villa Park so far after putting in some poor performances this season.

The 22-year-old re-joined the Villans in the summer of 2024 from Hull City and was considered one of the biggest prospects.

While it's only been a few months, it looks like the English youngster won't be able to fulfil his potential at Vila Park after his agent's admission.

Villa have had an inconsistent campaign so far, with Unai Emery's team falling to Newcastle United on Boxing Day in a 3-0 defeat.

Philogene has struggled for game time with the Villans and hasn't featured in the previous three Premier League matches.

Emery has tweaked his system in recent fixtures and now seems to be relying on John McGinn and Morgan Rogers on the wings.

It feels like the former Hull City youngster's development is being stunted at the Villans, and a loan move in January could be ideal.
