Aston Villa are ahead of their fellow Premier League sides in the race to sign Southampton midfielder Tyler Dibling, according to Football Transfers.

The news outlet reported on 6 November that Villa's analysts have likened him to Jack Grealish - the England international who joined Manchester City in what was a club-record sale.

Villa have already impressed the 18-year-old's family and they plan on monitoring him closely over the course of the season.

Tyler Dibling would be a quality acquisition for Aston Villa

Dibling would be an exciting prospect for Villa due to his dynamic skill set and potential to emulate the success of Grealish.

At just 18, the Southampton star has already shown flashes of brilliance in the Premier League, displaying both technical prowess and a flair for the game.

While he's far from the finished article and may initially be a squad player at Villa Park, he's already got what it takes to get fans off the edge of their seats.

His ability to create chances indicates he could significantly contribute to Villa's attacking play.

The 18-year-old's versatility to play as a winger on either flank also offers tactical flexibility, which would be beneficial under Unai Emery's stewardship.

Moreover, Dibling's familiarity with English football, coupled with his youth, means he has ample room for growth within a club environment known for nurturing young talents.
