Bryan King has insisted that Atletico Madrid attacker Joao Felix will cost Aston Villa "a lot of money" before the 30 August deadline.

The ex-Villa scout admitted that Unai Emery knows the Portugal international and will be able to get the best out of him after a quiet couple of years.

Felix has been described as the "dream" target for Aston Villa to replace Moussa Diaby [Fabrizio Romano], but any deal will be complicated due to the finances involved.

“I think it shows the work Emery has done to be able to control something like this," he exclusively told Villa News.

“He has done a good job since he has come in and he has proven what he can do.

“Emery knows this player and I am sure he can continue to get the best out of this player. To be backed by the club, that is what managers need.

“I think it is a lot of money, but there again they’ve sold players for a lot of money and they’re bringing in a very good mix.

“Amadou Onana, now this player, it could all be very interesting for Villa. They seem to be putting together a decent team.”

The Spaniard has worked wonders since arriving at Villa Park, and with Champions League football secured for the new season, NSWE will be more than ready to spend money on big-name players such as these.
