Aston Villa youth star Omari Kellyman sends message to fans after injury concern

Omari Kellyman has made a statement to his social media after he was spotted with an injury for Aston Villa while playing in the Hong Kong Soccer Sevens.

The 18-year-old has been one of the shining lights from the Villa academy this season despite a lack of minutes this campaign.

Unai Emery has not been sparing with appearances for young talent but Kellyman was still able to register eight appearances in all competitions this season [FotMob].

In a post on his personal X account (6 June), the youngster simply said: “I’m not finished.”

This is a message that is sure to get Villa fans excited as they look forward to the future with the youngster only getting better.

Supporters were left concerned when the Englishman was seen in a protective boot on his right foot while standing with crutches.

He had just featured for the Villans as they finished second in the Hong Kong Soccer Sevens tournament with Brighton coming out as winners.

There were fears that Kellyman would struggle to bounce back quickly from the injury ahead of a season where he could be sent out on loan.

At 18 he has a bright future ahead of him and getting some experience at an EFL side next season could prove to be very beneficial.

His statement will be hugely positive to Villa fans who have high hopes for the youngster who is one of their brightest starlets.

This will act as a message to Unai Emery to remind the Spaniard that Kellyman is there and is looking for first-team minutes next season.

There is hope there that the Englishman will return from his injury and have a positive impact on the Villans.
