Aston Villa to sell Leander Dendoncker, he is first on transfer hit list at Villa Park
Dan Plumley has insisted that Leander Dendoncker will be one of the first players that Aston Villa will look to offload permanently this summer.
The finance expert admitted that those currently out on loan will be first on the hit list at Villa Park, with the chance to get them off the wage bill and start again.
The Belgian international has been told he will not play again during the remainder of his loan spell at Napoli, with the nightmare set to continue.
“Unfortunately it’s not worked out for the player there,” he exclusively told Villa News.
“It does seem to be an easy target to look at there to say what players have they got that they can look to shift on.
“Those that are out on loan and returning become the first on the hit list and that is just natural in the way in which it works so that is an opportunity to get one off the wage bill in the summer and the club will start there and then work through the list.”

Aston Villa to sell Leander Dendoncker
With new UEFA regulations and the latest accounts at Villa Park not exactly looking great, player sales may be needed to conduct any business of their own this summer.
Dendoncker is not fancied by Unai Emery, that is very clear and it would be no surprise to see him moved on as soon as possible.
