Aston Villa fans will 'love to see' Jaden Philogene, set to play 'important' role under Unai Emery - Ty Bracey
We’re delighted to welcome Aston Villa podcaster Ty Bracey as our exclusive Aston Villa columnist each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at the club…
Aston Villa fans will “love to see” youngster Jaden Philogene who has been tipped for an “important” role under Unai Emery this season, according to Ty Bracey.
The 21-year-old had an excellent pre-season and featured heavily for Unai Emery, with many fans predicting him to play a role across all competitions for Villa when the new season kicks off.
The winger’s standout ability is his dribbling and ability to wheel away from his opponents but also has an eye for goal. Meanwhile, his loan spells with Championship sides Stoke City and Cardiff City have set him up for an impressive full season at Villa Park.
Bracey claims that this is the type of player fans admire and that the Villa Park faithful will “love to see” Philogene in action.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “I don’t think we’ll see him starting every game, but he could be useful.
“He helps us with the homegrown criteria and I think he’ll be good for us this year. He’ll get some minutes too, so he must be over the moon.
“Over pre-season, he’s proved himself and now I’m sure he will prove an important part of Emery’s project.
“He’s not afraid to take a player on. He can get past a player and put the ball into the box. I’m definitely excited to see that side of his game.
“Ultimately as a fanbase, we love to see someone who’s willing to take a player on.”
